The Baltimore City Greektown neighborhood has been home to the city's Greek-American community since the 1930s. It was simply known as The Hill until the 1980s, when residents appealed to the city Council to change it to Greektown. The culturally diverse neighborhood is famous for its restaurants, authentic Greek Coffee houses and bakeries. Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and the annual Baltimore Greek Festival and Parade are highlights of this neighborhood.
Greektown is bordered by Lombard Street on the north, South Haven on the west and I-895 on the east. The Eastern Avenue route runs through Greektown.
Greektown real estate is made up primarily of town houses, many with historical architectural details intact. If you want to create your dream house within a creative yet modern area, then Greektown is the place for fulfilling those desires. This Baltimore community is a “must see” before you make your final real estate decision. One bedroom or six bedrooms, villa or row house, apartment or condo, big or small—whatever your real estate needs, Ron Howard and Associates will show you the variety of choices in Greektown or anywhere else in Baltimore City.
